DVD video production
The UN commissioned Tinopolis to produce an updated version of an existing film on Treaty Bodies. The DVD is used as a training tool in workshops and seminars; available for self-study and appropriate for viewing by the general public. In addition, the video is used to introduce the full topic of the treaty body system and to generate discussion on specific issues.
In updating the film we removed the original motion graphics from the existing edited timeline, and created a completely new set of graphics, in order to work appropriately and in parallel to any existing and updated footage.
New material was shot in Geneva, London and New York, supported by voiceovers in five languages. The script and voiceovers were produced and directed by Tinopolis with the support of the Office of the High Commissioner. Native speakers were used for all languages for authenticity and continuity with existing UN materials.
5,000 copies of the DVD were produced. Each DVD was developed with newly created graphics for the covers, jacket and booklets in all six languages. Each DVD contains a 10,000 page document and PDF downloads.
